1. College Pennant Activity - Think about what college you might be attending soon (or military or future career is fine) and grab a piece of construction paper. Grab a ruler and measure your triangle to match the image shown. Once you have cut out your pennant, include the following information with images or illustrations: a. Name of your school/branch of military b. Your school's logo and/or mascot c. Your hobbies/interests (2-3) d. A famous person that attended your school e. What you plan on studying/majoring OR future career plans **You may print out pictures, but they should be colored in** **Put your name on the back and glue to the wall when you are finished** Finish for homework if needed. |

2. Read the 8 Stages of Genocide handout and answer the following questions on a separate sheet of paper. (Turn in to Ms. Cress)
a. According to the article, what are the 5 characteristics that fit an act of genocide?
b. What 5 acts are punishable under the Convention rules?
c. What are the 8 stages of genocide?
d. Summarize each stage of genocide in one sentence.
e. Provide 2 examples of each stage of genocide.
f. What are your thoughts? Why do people 'buy-in' or get involved with committing acts of genocide? How should onlookers respond when genocide is occurring?
3. Time for Genocide Project
